Let our resident cheese expert take you on a cheese appreciation journey that will provide you with a complete sensory experience in a relaxed and fun environment. You will enjoy a deliciously inspiring selection of cheeses in perfect condition and an exclusive peek inside our world class cheese maturing room.
From beverage pairing to virtual tasting tours of France and Italy, these classes are not to be missed and once you have done one, you will want to do them all! Bookings Essential as places are limited.

While Champagne and other sparkling wines are often enjoyed to toast a special celebration, they also pair beautifully with food, especially cheese! Whether it is Champagne from France, Cava from Spain, Sparkling from Australia or Prosecco from Italy, pairing cheese with bubbles is one of life’s great pleasures. This session will give you a chance to enjoy some of the best sparkling wine with some of the finest cheeses from all over the world! This whole experience is very likely to leave you with a serious addiction.

Take a tasting tour of Italy through some of the world’s best known cheeses and pair them with wines from the same region. Parmigiano Reggiano from Emilia-Romagna, Gorgonzola and Taleggio from Lombardy and mixed milk white moulds from Piedmont just to name a few. Many of these regional cheeses are selected and aged carefully by our Italian Affinatore, Luigi Guffanti. A great chance to explore so many fabulous flavours paired with wonderful Mediterranean wines, as well as exploring some exquisite ways to cook with these amazing cheeses. A class not to be missed!

Now that the temperature has dropped and winter is here, thoughts have naturally turned to comfort foods. It is the perfect time for a cheese fondue or raclette, or an oven baked Petit Sapin. In this warming winter class you will also discover the mysterious Appenzeller from Switzerland and learn about the return to traditional Gruyere cheese making techniques in the village of Etivaz. Join us for a one and only night with our skilled chefs and amazing cheese expert. A warming glass of Shiraz or cup of tea will complement this interactive evening.

Cheese expert Valerie Henbest from The Smelly Cheese Shop hosts a cheese, wine and charcuterie masterclass focusing on Barossa producers in this Barossa-themed evening in the Adelaide Central Market. Join master cheesemaker Victoria McClurg from Barossa Cheese Company, Alex Knoll of Barossa Fine Foods and winemaker Kane Jaunutis from Landhaus Wines at the long table and explore the complex flavours and incredible variety of cheeses, wines and charcuterie produced in the Barossa.

This class will give you a chance to explore the complex flavours and the incredible variety of cheese produced by skilled artisan makers world wide. You will learn about the various conditions in which they are made and matured. Your taste buds will be challenged with different styles of cheese while learning about the basic rules of sensory analysis so you will go away with the knowledge required to understand and really appreciate fine cheese. This class will suit beginners and those looking for something more challenging.
